“Called in for meal”
Had superb meal after calling in for bite to eat, had stopped there before and was great food but was even better this time, also had cocktail deal on so made a night of it, will go again as nicely out of town so no need to fight through crowds etc

“Warm and comfortable”
We had a compact room which was just the right size for one night's stay. The toilet and shower were clean and the bed warm and reasonably comfortable. Though a kettle didn't work, there was a replacement in the wardrobe, and reception were apologetic and generous when we went to get tea and coffee… Plus

“A wonderful stay”
Once again a wonderful stay for pur wedding anniversary. Nothing is too big for them to help with. The rooms and hotel are fantastic.the breakfast is made to order and top notch. Thankyou to all the staff for everything

“Gem of a hotel”
Stayed here overnight Saturday night with a friend for a short trip to York. A lovely hotel just 10/15 minutes walk from city centre. From the moment we arrived staff couldn't have been more helpful. “Nice hotel.”
Nice hotel that we visited a while ago. Short walk into York city centre, room was nice, would have been brilliant if our room had a bath in it. Maybe a little more expensive than it should be but not by much, will hopefully return soon.
